Settlers first arrived in the area from Idaho in the 1890s. On a random Tuesday in the middle of September, there were at least 15 other people at this location for sunrise. The barns are located in the Mormon Row Historic District of the national park. In the early 1900s, several mormon families settled the area. In the early 1950s, Grand Teton National Park offered to buy the property but Alma held out until 1963. Alma Kept 1 acre of land for his family which was sold to the park in 2018. Grand Teton National Park, located in northwest Wyoming includes the major peaks of the Teton Range. The tall peak in the center is Grand Teton and reaches a height of 13,775 feet. Jackson Hole Wyoming is only a few miles away and is a great town for visiting. This amazing sunrise happened on the only morning I was in town. Too bad a moose didn't walk in stream but a couple ducks made an appearance. Limited edition print from Schwabacher's Landing in the Mountains and Vertical galleries.
