Join Randy Bott for 4 days of landscape photography in the Southeast part of Washington State known as the Palouse. Also called the Tuscany of America. With rolling hills of green wheat and yellow canola, old barns and granaries, the Palouse is a photographer's paradise in the late spring.
We will be staying and based in Pullman WA, which puts us in a prime location for many of the locations we will visit. We will travel each day from the hotel to our locations and return at various times for rest and/or image reviews.
Along with Steptoe Butte for sunrises and sunsets, we will venture out to Palouse Falls for a sunrise or sunset depending on weather conditions.
We will begin our adventure at sunset the first night and conclude after sunrise on the last day.
Workshop is limited to 5 people insuring lots of 1 to 1 sessions with the instructors.

Hiking Difficulty:
Most of the Palouse photography is done next to our cars so very little walking is required. One of the sunrise shoots has some hiking of about half a mile.
Getting There:
The closest large airport is in Spokane about 60 miles north of Colfax.
4.5 hour drive from Portland or Seattle airports.

Difficulty of the Workshop and Recommend Gear:
Some light hiking with little elevation gain may be required for this workshop to bring you to the most breathtaking views and enhance your experience. The list of clothing and equipment are recommended for the Palouse in spring.

I think this is the most famous barn in all of the Palouse region. The orange truck is in a different location every year so I get a new shot all the time. The Palouse is one of the few locations where a good sunset or sunrise does not make the shot better. The green hills, the red barns, the yellow canola are good subjects any time of the day. Cancellation Policy
The workshop must be paid in full 60 days prior to the day the workshop starts. Cancellations prior to 60 days before the workshop will be eligible for a full refund or transfer of funds paid to another workshop. Refunds are not available after the 60 day mark unless we can find another person to fill your spot.
We reserve the right to cancel the workshop if minimum participants are not met or in the event of an emergency. If a cancellation does occur, participants may either use the fee towards a future workshop or receive a full refund. We are not responsible for travel expenses and therefore strongly recommend travel insurance to cover such costs.
IMPORTANT LEGAL INFORMATION:
The payment of $1000 is a non-refundable initial payment toward the total cost of the workshop. The payment is to reserve your spot in the workshop. The remaining balance will be required by April 15 to secure your spot. If you need to cancel your attendance to the workshop, we will advertise the opening to others. If someone else signs up to fill your spot, we will refund your deposit, but only if the spot sells to another participant. Inside of 30 days of the workshop, the deposit will not be refunded.
By attending this workshop, you agree to hold Randy Bott Photography harmless for all personal injury or loss that may occur during or in connection with this trip.
Should the instructors become ill, injured or otherwise become unable to fulfill their duties, they will reschedule the workshop, or provide a refund of payments made.
Do not push your physical abilities past what you are healthy enough to do. You are in charge of deciding if a location is safe for you to travel to.
Randy Bott Photography’s only role in this workshop is to teach photography and help you find great locations. You are responsible for your safety as you travel. Randy Bott Photography makes no effort to vet the other attendees of the trip and you need to make sure you are safe in their companionship.
In the event of extraordinary events, governmental instability, extreme weather, pandemic, or other condition, Randy Bott Photography reserves the right to cancel or reschedule this trip and return all workshop fees to participants, or apply deposits towards a future workshop.
