A pine tree stands alone in Joshua Tree National Park, photographed in infrared and transformed into an unreal palette of color. The foreground glows in pale light blue tones, smooth and luminous, creating a cool base for the scene. Above it, the pine tree appears in soft shades of pink, its needles and branches rendered with fine detail against the altered spectrum. The infrared effect separates the tree from the landscape, giving it a dreamlike presence. The image feels both familiar and alien, revealing a desert environment seen beyond normal vision.
